Why imposter syndrome is a good thing
How I learned to LOVE Imposter Syndrome (and why you should too)
It’s Creative Tension.
But the ego hates tension.
It wants comfort, safety, and familiarity.
When tension arises, the gap between where you are and where you want to be, the ego’s first move is to collapse it, to keep things the same.
But that tension is actually where growth happens.
It’s the discomfort of knowing you’re capable of more, but you’re not there yet.
And that gap is powerful.
Imposter Syndrome is just another name for that tension.
It’s the feeling that you don’t belong, but deep down, you know you do.
You’re just not there yet.
Instead of trying to collapse the tension, use it.
Let it drive you forward.
Let it pull you towards what’s possible.
Because the truth is, if you didn’t feel that gap, you’d be standing still.
And standing still is not an option, is it?
Imposter Syndrome means you’re on the edge of something bigger...
Lean into it.
How do you respond to Creative Tension? Do you shrink, or do you use it to propel forward?
